For the fourth year, the Redskins Charitable Foundation has sponsored the flag football league for the Special Olympics of Virginia. This event kicked-off the season, and invited athletes to Redskins Park to participate in football related drills and activities to introduce them to the sport.
Thanks to a partnership with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, volunteers and the entire Redskins rookie class invited youth athletes to the Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park for the Dreams for Kids Football Combine where those in attendance rotated through six different activity stations guided.
Seeing the smiles of the kids that idolize them made the appearance “worthwhile” for the rookies, as wide receiver Trey Quinn noted. He believes that events like this will help encourage his peers to pursue other opportunities that influence their community in a positive way.
