About six weeks ago, the Washington Redskins had hit their lowest point of the season, having lost to the then 2-5 Carolina Panthers 21-13 Nov. 4 at FedExField to fall to 3-6 on the season.
The Redskins were in last place in the NFC East and their chances of even sniffing a playoff spot had almost dwindled completely.
But five wins later – including Sunday’s 38-21 win over the Cleveland Browns – Washington finds itself leading the NFC East Division, and at 8-6, controls its own destiny to make the postseason.
Though the final score of the Browns game ... Read More

If your fingernails are significantly shorter than they were at this time yesterday, then you’re not alone.
The Washington Redskins overcame the adversity of both losing their starting quarterback to injury and an eight-point deficit late in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens to pull off a 31-28 overtime win at FedExField. It was the Redskins’ fourth straight win, and gives the team a 7-6 record on the year.
The Redskins seemed dead in the water late in the fourth quarter of yesterday’s game, but quarterback Robert Griffin III and the Washington offense took the ... Read More

Washington Redskins fans, your team is officially red hot.
The Redskins used a strong second-half effort all around to defeat the visiting New York Giants, 17-16, last night in a nationally-televised, Monday Night Football battle at FedExField.
With the win, Washington moves to an even 6-6 on the year and has won three straight games – all against divisional opponents (Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and the Giants).
Last night’s game was the perfect example of how letting a team stick around can come back to bite you in the end. The Giants – who lead the NFC East Division ... Read More

On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, WOW members joined over 200 volunteers to be a part of the 10th annual “Harvest Feast” community food distribution event, held at FedExField and hosted by the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation. On this day, the hearts of these incredible volunteers were paired with a laser-guided focus on helping their neighbors and the outcome was nothing short of incredible.
From early in the morning until sunset, volunteers and staff members from the Washington Redskins & Operation Blessing worked tirelessly to bag holiday groceries for 3,500 families in Prince ... Read More

The Washington Redskins gave their fans plenty for which to be thankful over the past few days.
Washington went into Dallas on Thursday and defeated its rival Cowboys 38-31 in a nationally-televised, Thanksgiving Day game. It was the second straight win for the Redskins (5-6), who are still in the hunt for a playoff spot as the season winds down.
The first half of Thursday’s game against the Cowboys (5-6) couldn’t have gone much better. Dallas turned the ball over two times – a lost fumble and an interception – and the Washington offense was clicking on all ... Read More

If you were waiting for that one game in which your Washington Redskins had an all-around, solid effort from its offense, defense and special teams, then your patience paid off yesterday.
The Redskins dominated the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, and won 31-6 in front of an energetic FedExField crowd.
One of the many high points of yesterday’s win was the play of the Redskins’ defense, which has certainly had its ups and downs this season. Against the Eagles, however, the Redskins allowed just 251 yards, including a season-low 177 yards passing to rookie quarterback Nick Foles, who was ... Read More

Around The Water Cooler: Redskins Lose To Panthers, 21-13
The Washington Redskins had a spirited Homecoming Weekend with more than 150 alumni in attendance for their game yesterday against the Carolina Panthers.
But the Redskins couldn't find the offensive or defensive consistency they needed in the game, and lost 21-13 in front of 79,767 fans at FedExField.
It was certainly a frustrating day for the Redskins, who, at many points in the game, outplayed the Panthers (2-6) — and certainly on offense. But ultimately, a lack of execution — as well as several drive-killing penalties — was too much ... Read More

Yesterday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was just one of those occasions where not much went right for your Washington Redskins.
The defense struggled to stop both the run and the pass, while the offense had a tough time simply catching the football and making the plays it needed to keep up with the quick-paced Pittsburgh offense. The result was a 27-12 Redskins loss at Heinz Field.
The Redskins' three scoring drives ended in two field goals and a touchdown. The touchdown drive featured a gutsy play call on fourth down that was two yards from the ... Read More

Around The Water Cooler: Redskins Lose To Giants, 27-23
The Washington Redskins yesterday were one minute and 13 seconds away from escaping with a thrilling, last-minute win over the defending Super Bowl champions. But New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning had other plans, and his 77-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Victor Cruz provided the dagger in the Redskins’ 27-23 loss to the Giants in front of 81,352 fans at MetLife Stadium.
Had it not been for Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III’s heroics just more than one minute prior to that Giants touchdown, however, Washington would’ve ... Read More
