Saturday afternoon at Redskin Park was taken over by a bunch of NFL Ninjas, and leading the pack was Nike Elite Trainer Ary Nunez.

She challenged us with a complete body workout that mixed martial arts with NFL moves.  She comes with some awesome cred like personal trainer to Rihanna and Alicia Keys.  She is so spunky and her energy was contagious.  I found myself smiling the whole time.  Even when she had us standing on our heads! Well, almost standing on my head, but I came home with some ... Andrew Walker

The magical 2012 Washington Redskins season came to an end Sunday, as the team lost 24-14 to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card round of the playoffs at FedExField.

The loss put an end to the Redskins’ seven-game winning streak to end the season – a run that saw the team overtake the reigning Super Bowl champion New York Giants and hold off the Dallas Cowboys to win its first NFC East Division title since 1999.

Anybody watching Sunday’s playoff matchup against the Seahawks would’ve thought the Redskins had the game in the bag after ... Read More

The Redskins won Sunday night with a key performance from rookie running back Alfred Morris, who also broke Clinton Portis’ single-season Redskins’ rushing record in the third quarter ... Read More

  • Around The Water Cooler: Redskins One Victory Away From Divisional Title After Win Against Eagles

    Andrew Walker

This magical Washington Redskins season continues.

The Redskins went into Philadelphia and defeated their rival Eagles 27-20 Sunday to extend their winning streak to six games and set up a showdown for the NFC East Division title next Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

A win, and Washington (9-6) has its first NFC East title and home playoff game since the 1999 season. A loss, and the Redskins would need help from a couple other teams to make the playoffs as a Wild Card.

The Redskins certainly had a slow start on Sunday against the Eagles (4-11), but really ... Read More

  • Monday Morning Water Cooler: Red-Hot Redskins Cruise To Victory Over Browns

    12.17.2012 / Blog Posts Redskins

    Andrew Walker

About six weeks ago, the Washington Redskins had hit their lowest point of the season, having lost to the then 2-5 Carolina Panthers 21-13 Nov. 4 at FedExField to fall to 3-6 on the season.

The Redskins were in last place in the NFC East and their chances of even sniffing a playoff spot had almost dwindled completely.

But five wins later – including Sunday’s 38-21 win over the Cleveland Browns – Washington finds itself leading the NFC East Division, and at 8-6, controls its own destiny to make the postseason.

Though the final score of the Browns game ... Read More

If your fingernails are significantly shorter than they were at this time yesterday, then you’re not alone.

The Washington Redskins overcame the adversity of both losing their starting quarterback to injury and an eight-point deficit late in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens to pull off a 31-28 overtime win at FedExField. It was the Redskins’ fourth straight win, and gives the team a 7-6 record on the year.

The Redskins seemed dead in the water late in the fourth quarter of yesterday’s game, but quarterback Robert Griffin III and the Washington offense took the ... Read More

    Andrew Walker

Washington Redskins fans, your team is officially red hot.

The Redskins used a strong second-half effort all around to defeat the visiting New York Giants, 17-16, last night in a nationally-televised, Monday Night Football battle at FedExField.

With the win, Washington moves to an even 6-6 on the year and has won three straight games – all against divisional opponents (Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and the Giants).

Last night’s game was the perfect example of how letting a team stick around can come back to bite you in the end. The Giants – who lead the NFC East Division ... Read More
