For the second straight week the Washington Redskins fell behind early, this time 24-0 at halftime to the Green Bay Packers before ultimately losing 38-20. Quarterback Robert Griffin III led a valiant comeback attempt in the second half, but the lead was insurmountable with time winding down.
Defensively, the Redskins struggled to contain Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers who threw for a career-high 480 yards and four touchdowns. The Washington Redskins had a spirited crowd yesterday at FedExField for the 2013 season opener, but an early deficit was too much to overcome as they fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 33-27.
The game was a tale of two halves, as they struggled against the Eagles offense early and couldn’t garnish enough yardage on drives to gain first downs. In the second half, however, the Redskins dominated time of possession and scored the final 20 points of the game.

On Friday, May 31st, the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation teamed up with the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association to host a Fuel Up to Play 60 Mini-Combine at Redskins Park for an afternoon of fun and football activities with current Redskins players!
More than 50 students from Hillside and Kenilworth Elementary Schools heard from Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association, as they kicked off the afternoon by sharing healthy eating habits and the importance of getting active for at least 60 minutes a day.

One-hundred WOW members came out to Redskins Park on the evening of Wednesday, May 29th for an exclusive event featuring Head Coach Mike Shanahan.
Upon arrival, burgundy and gold clad ladies were treated to complimentary glasses of wine and hors d’oeuvres before the show started in the team auditorium with a video featuring 2012 season highlights, player bloopers, and a special message from Robert Griffin III.
