    Washington Redskins second-year running back Mack Brown used the offseason to learn from one of the NFL's best running backs while also improving his diet to help him cut body fat.

    In early January following the Washington Redskins’ bitter loss to the New York Giants, running back Mack Brown returned to Atlanta to begin offseason workouts with two goals in mind.

    Three-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion Mike Nelms, a defensive back and return specialist with the Redskins, will be inducted into the Washington, D.C., Sports Hall Of Fame on July 9.

    Nelms was one of the most prolific kick returners in history, playing for five seasons for the Redskins from 1980-84, in which he won a Super Bowl and went to three consecutive Pro Bowls from 1980-82. He amassed more than 6,000 yards returning and is part of the 80 Greatest Redskins list.

    One of the Redskins’ newest receivers, Terrelle Pryor Sr., will be inducted into the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League Hall of Fame it was announced on Thursday.

    Pryor was one of the best two-sport athletes in WPIAL history at Jeannette High School, leading both the football and basketball teams to WPIAL and PIAA titles in his senior season.

    In football, Pryor was the only player in Pennsylvania history to rush and throw for 4,000 yards, and led his team to a 16-0 record, scoring nearly 60 touchdowns.
