Northern Virginia residents know the winter and holiday season are near as the family-favorite Reston Town Center Ice Skating Pavilion opens for the season this weekend on Nov. 3. From early November through the second week of March (weather permitting), the Pavilion floor is converted to a beautiful ice skating rink.
This weekend, 50 percent of the ice skating proceeds will be donated to benefit Character Counts. Tell your kids to grab their running shoes and get ready for their adrenaline to start pumping. The Marine Corps Marathon, alongside The Washington Post, will host their annual “Healthy Kids Fun Run” this Saturday in Arlington. Kids, ages 5-12, will get their daily dose of exercise by running a one-mile course around the Pentagon North Parking Lot.
