What was your inspiration in starting the DJGMF?
We didn't want to be the grieving family with no outlet for our loss. Creating a foundation in Doug's honor has helped us ensure his legacy lives on. We knew that there's nothing he'd rather us be doing than supporting his brothers and sisters that were by his side while deployed.

On October 30, 2014, Kirk Cousins, Pierre Garçon and Gary Clark will be trading in their cleats for dress shoes and hitting the runway at this year’s Walk This Way fashion show for charity. The goal of the event is to bring greater attention to the issue of intimate partner violence.

Throughout the month of October, the entire NFL community has banded together in order to provide for greater breast cancer awareness, a mission that was largely spearheaded by the wife of Redskins owner, Tanya Snyder. On October 25,, 2014, these NFL-wide efforts culminate for the league’s first ever nation-wide breast cancer event, “A Crucial Catch Day”.

Calling all kids! It’s time to break out your cleats and put on your gloves because the NFL’s annual Punt, Pass & Kick competition is right around the corner!
Punt, Pass & Kick was established by the NFL for youth athletes in 1961. The competition allows for both boys and girls, ages 6-15 years old, to see how their punting, passing and place kicking skills compare to those of their peers of the same age group. The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation is in its second year of our 50/50 Raffle program at FedEx Field! This fun, interactive experience allows fans to buy raffle tickets to win 50% of that nights jackpot. At the home opener on September 19th the winner of the 50/50 Raffle walked away with over $11,000 in cash!
