Redskins Park is hosting Redskins Rides this Saturday! The event features classic, custom and exotic cars, as well as the rides of several Redskins’ players. In the past, players have attended, hung out with fans and signed autographs! Proceeds from Redskins Rides will benefit the Easterns Community Care Foundation and the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.

By now we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but Chris Cooley isn’t stopping there.
The All-Pro tight end has organized his third annual “Cooleys for a Cure” rally to benefit breast cancer research, hosting the event this Monday, Oct. 10 from 7-10 pm at Clyde’s in Ashburn.
“We have all been touched by cancer in some way ... and we all have the power to make a difference. That's why I have chosen to fight back right here in my own community,” Chris said.

Breast Cancer has affected many people's lives, including that of Redskins Owner Dan Snyder and his wife Tanya.
As an official Breast Cancer Awareness Spokesperson for the NFL, and a Breast Cancer survivor herself, Tanya Snyder is especially dedicated to supporting the cause during the month of October, recognized nationally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In this candid interview, Mrs. Snyder explains how breast cancer affected her personally and discusses how women can be proactive. She also talks about helping the NFL raise over $1 million for the American Cancer Society!

Breast cancer will kill nearly 40,000 women in America this year, making it the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women, but greater awareness about and access to early detection measures can save lives.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Donté Stallworth kicked off the American Heart Association’s annual ‘Recess’ event in Washington, DC on Tuesday, leading over 200 children in warm-ups and educating them on the importance of exercising.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall and outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan joined Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell last week to kick off the Play60 Challenge at Albert Hill Middle School in Richmond, leading 50 students in a series of exercises.
The youth fitness event served as the background for the 2011 launch of the "Redskins Play 60 Challenge" across the entire Commonwealth of Virginia for all sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students, which encourages youth to be active for 60 minutes every day as a way to combat childhood obesity.
