On Tuesday evening, The Women of Washington and Redskins Salute joined forces for the first time to host Care Package Assembly Night at Redskins Park.
With the help of Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization whose mission is to lift spirits and meet evolving needs of Active Duty and Veteran communities, volunteers assembled 2,000 packages that will be shipped to U.S. military stationed overseas.

Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day! NGWSD is a special day for girls and women to celebrate their participation in sports and athletics.
When Title IX was enacted in 1971, 1 in 27 girls in high school participated in athletics. One in three girls participates in athletics in high school now!

Many don't have the resources necessary to contact help, and those that do, usually aren't sure where to turn.

The Washington Redskins teamed up with Inova Blood Donor Services to host the Hometown Hero Blood Drive at Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA, on Saturday, January, 10, 2015. The indoor practice facility was transformed into one of the area’s more unique blood donation centers. All of the blood collected in the effort will be supplied to local hospitals in the Northern Virginia area.
