Constance was diagnosed with breast cancer after she noticed a lump on her breast through her own self-examination in May 2013 at the age of 54. Constance was quick to follow this up with a mammogram appointment and biopsy, which determined that her lump was cancerous.
Constance received treatment in order to reduce the size of her lump. As of June 2014, Constance is a SURVIVOR.
Constance's experience underscores the importance of women knowing their bodies and periodically conducting their own self-examinations in order to detect breast cancer early.
