While the Washington Redskins struck early and took a 7-3 lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the first quarter of Sunday’s season finale, they ultimately fell by a final of 44-17.
That early lead was the product of a 69-yard touchdown connection between quarterback Robert Griffin III and wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

It might sound new, but working out with kettlebells is a time-honored technique that is finally getting the attention it deserves. A cast-iron kettlebell resembles a mini bowling ball with a handle. Since the weight isn't evenly distributed, using a kettlebell forces your stabilizer muscles to work harder. A kettlebell workout is great for cardio, strength and flexibility training. According to the American Council on Exercise, exercising with kettlebells burns about 20 calories a minute.

The Washington Redskins on Saturday hosted the Philadelphia Eagles at FedExField in a game that ended up going in the burgundy and gold’s favor, as a solid all-around effort netted a 27-24 victory.
The win, which snapped a six-game losing streak, also eliminated the Eagles from playoff contention.
