Spring Clean Your Health and Fitness Routine

As spring quickly approaches it's almost time to pack away the heavy coats and give the house a good cleaning. This is also a great time to give your health a boost by spring cleaning some of your health habits.

Take a week to try each of these hassle-free challenges in an effort to jump start a healthy you this spring!

MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY
Set 3 positive intentions for this spring and take 30 seconds to close your eyes and visualize yourself completing each task. What better way to spring clean than clearing your mind of all the clutter and focusing on your goals?

NUTRITION ADDITION TUESDAY
Include a rainbow of fruits for breakfast and as many colorful veggies as you can for dinner. This will help you to increase the number of super-powered anti-oxidants in your diet and ensure that you get a healthy dose of fruits and vegetables into your daily routine.

GET MOVING WEDNESDAY
Get in a 30 minute walk or jog today. Getting your blood flowing with a 30 minute sweat session will help the body to remove toxins more efficiently.

TRY SOMETHING NEW THURSDAY
Try a vegetable you've never had before. This spring open your horizons to some new experiences--and why not start with a nice healthy one?

FREE YOURSELF FRIDAY
Eliminate flavoured beverages today. Drink only water or freshly brewed green tea. You can spruce it up by adding mint, lemons, strawberries, cucumbers or oranges.

TRAIN FREE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Engage in a fun activity (bowling, hiking, and swimming) or by using your environment for a workout (playground, neighbourhood, field, hills, etc.)

This spring let's refocus our health and fitness goals, cleanse and detox our bodies and tighten up a few loose screws with our workout regimen.
