Northern Virginia Magazine has a list of upcoming 5K's and Turkey Trots coming up. Sign up now to get active outdoors this fall!

Vienna Turkey Trot

Last year nearly 1,100 runners participated and this year the event will raise money to benefit the James Madison High School Marching Band, and the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. Take your pick between the 5K, 10K or fun run! But act fast, the race registration closes when they’ve reached 1,400 people. For registration click here.

When: Sunday, Nov. 18, 8 a.m.
Where: Vienna Fire Department, 400 Center St. S. Vienna

10th Annual Freeze Your Gizzard Cross Country 5K

When: Saturday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m.
Where: Beginning in the front field of Ida Lee Park in Leesburg

In addition to the registration fees, participants will bring canned food to donate to Loudoun Interfaith Relief’s food bank. Last year, 1,800 pounds of food were collected and donated. There is a 5K option and 1 mile run and all ages are welcome. Feel free to wear a turkey themed costume to compete for prizes.
