Around Town with Northern Virginia Magazine: Ice Skating Pavilion Open for the Season at Reston Town Center
11.09.2012 / Blog Posts Local Lifestyle
Northern Virginia residents know the winter and holiday season are near as the family-favorite Reston Town Center Ice Skating Pavilion opens for the season this weekend on Nov. 3. From early November through the second week of March (weather permitting), the Pavilion floor is converted to a beautiful ice skating rink.
This weekend, 50 percent of the ice skating proceeds will be donated to benefit Character Counts. Character Counts is the nation’s most popular character education program and reaches millions of youth in schools and non-profit programs. The program operates on the six pillars of character education: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship, and is widely practiced throughout schools in the NoVA region.
