Training camp is a clear sign that football is almost back. This is where the road to the Super Bowl really starts. Players begin the hardcore training. Rookies want to learn their playbooks and show that they deserve to be there. New players want to get accustomed to their new teams. Veterans work to show that they are still competitive. Coaches outline their plans and train players on new systems.
Training camp is important. It is not just the physical preparation, but every member of the team is learning his responsibilities and practicing. The players also build camaraderie. When players do not attend training camp, they do not just miss the drills and exercise. They miss the opportunity to get to know other players and receive feedback from coaches prior to the regular season
Without training camp, teams are not prepared for the regular season. Without a successful regular season, there is no possibility of a Super Bowl appearance.
The same is true for life. We all need training camp to be successful. Whether you are just graduating from college (rookie) or an executive at a company (veteran), you need some coaching to bring your “A-game.”
Just like the Redskins are at camp to prepare for a championship season, Heels & Helmets is heading to McLean, Virginia for its Ladies Training Camp to get you ready for your season! This weekend, we are hosting a one-day conference with USA Today to celebrate the return of football and help women develop a winning game plan for their professional and personal goals. Our coaches are women who are leaders in business, finance, health, law and marketing. They will coach you to strengthen existing skills, learn new techniques, build relationships and create the tools to get you prepared to be a champion.
A new season would not be complete without a new look. At training camp we are going to get ready for the return of the NFL season by getting professional make up and glamour photos in our team gear. So come get beautiful in your Redskins gear and take professional photos to kick-off the 2012 NFL Season!
I am excited that the football hiatus is just about over, but I am more pumped about going to training camp. It is going to be fun day learning, meeting new girlfriends, showing your team spirit, and shopping!
You can report to camp and register online by clicking here. Use the promotional code WOWR12 to get $20 off of registration.
