The Washington Redskins hosted its annual Think Pink game against the Eagles Sunday, Oct. 16 and the Redskins Women's Club provided yet another way for female fans to support the cause on gameday! Hosting the first ever WOW Pre-Game Party, many of the guests in attendance were breast cancer survivors and the club raffled off a pair of NFL Breast Cancer Awareness boots to call further attention to the cause. Mrs. Tanya Snyder, wife of Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, passed out pink ribbons to fans before also heading up to the WOW Pre-Game Party!
WOW members made their way up to the club level to hang out with Redskins wives and girlfriends, including Tanya Snyder, Redskins GM Bruce Allens wife Kiersten, Coach Shanahans wife Peggy, Tim Hightowers mother Nikkie, Chris Chesters wife Kirbie and DJ Gomes girlfriend Ashley Pulliam, who some of you may remember from our WOW Interview Series!
Other familiar faces from our interview series were Kathleen and Kristina Cuce, founders of Cuce Shoes, who showed up in their own Redskins and Breast Cancer Awareness boots!
When not posing for pictures, guests sipped on mimosas and snacked on treats from Georgetown Cupcake. Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne, the sister duo behind the infamous cupcake shop, were even on hand at the event! They opened Georgetown Cupcake in 2008 as DCs first and only cupcakery and as you may know have their own show on TLC! They now bake well over 5,000 cupcakes each day including the ones they made special for the WOW Pre-Game Party!
As the party neared its end, Kendra Brown, wife of Redskins Director of Pro Personnel Morocco Brown, hopped up on stage with the Cuce twins to announce the winner of the raffle. The prize at hand? A pair of their NFL Breast Cancer Awareness boots to one lucky WOW member!
Thanks to all of the WOW members who showed up - we hope you had fun! For more pictures of the event, visit our Facebook page by clicking on the social media bar to the left, or click here to visit WOW's photos page.
